going places

WHAT THE HELL IS ROLLER RACING?
fitzy, my boss at the bike shop, and i are always brainstorming ideas to grow bicycling culture in jackson. like last summer, we threw two great bike-ins. goonies and raiders of the lost ark were big hits in town. at some point he came across an event in vegas that sparked his interest. and the truth is that roller racing has been around for over half a century. instead of explaining it, i'm just going to show you this video of our event we threw last week:

BURN THE BOATS!
so today is a big day because i hired a web developer to help me start a website - bikewire.org. i'm not going to go into too many details of the website, but i will be moving this blog to it soon. this is totally exciting and there's no turning back now.

happy new year

FINALLY GOT A CAMERA
but i'm buying my next one local. today is january first 2010 and it seems we might have some nice snow to shoot tomorrow. forecast looks good, keep your fingers crossed.

WE'VE GOT WORMS
not a good pick up line, but cool little creatures. picked them up on ebay. they're good at keeping compostable material from the landfill and produce legendary soil for spring time. they love coffee grinds and broccoli, but aren't too stoked on grapefruit. rock on little dudes.

INDOOR DRYER VENT REPORT
not sure why these aren't more popular. took 5 minutes to install, pretty simple and seemingly effective. i may try to talk to the manager at the local hardware store about pushing these inexpensive energy savers. but the real way to dry clothes is still better..
